Classic Wah - Hendrix Style!

The wah-wah pedal was just invented when Hendrix burst on the scene in 1967. And to this day, few player's names are more synonymous with killer wah leads and wicked, wah-driven syncopated rhythms. The wah pedal that Hendrix used was a 60s design by the Thomas Organ Company and manufactured by JEN in Italy. This is the unmistakable wah tone heard on Hendrix classics like "Up From the Sky,""Voodoo Child (Slight Return),""Little Miss Lover"and "Still Raining, Still Dreaming."

The Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah reproduces these timbres, and more, with startling accuracy. Throaty and expressive, it will fire your imagination. The vintage classic look is 100% authentic too, with a sleek black Italian crinkle finish aluminum body. From its eye-catching look to its mind-bending sound, everything about this wah just screams Hendrix.

Wah wah

I am happy with it. Has that 70s porno vibe type of wah. Has Hendrix tone as advertised.

The Tone

I had used several different Wah pedals in the last 35 years of playing. The Hendrix Wah has the best tone/sound. It hits the early Wah sound that I like. There isn't any hissing noise either. If you like the sound of the early Robin Trower wah....this is it too. Try it, and I think you will agree with me.
Music background: Blues, blues/rock and Church praise. Song writer too.

Belated Father’s Day present

Ordered this for my son. He has a new peddle board. This is his favorite Wah peddle.
Went to Gearfest 2019 didn"t stay as long as I should have as we were leaving we saw doome of our friends just Getty there. I did pick up a great buy on a 21" Zildjain SweetRide Custom K in the open box tent. Got my eyes on a set of Zildjain SweetRide Custom K 15" Hi Hats open box set. And oland SPD-SX Special Edition Sampling Percussion Pad in the future. Thanks for another great time at Gearfest.

Still trying it out

Have to say, I was totally ecstatic to get this. I did get some am radio bleed through my amp when using it. Although, the wonderful people at Sweetwater have given me great advice. Another reason this is my favorite music store! I trust them to deliver the best products and the best advice. Thank you all for everything you've done for me. Pedal is awesome and still dialing it in and learning how to use it, being my first Wah.

Hendrix Wah Pedal

Pedal seems to be sell constructed, with a heavy base and good quality hardware throughout. It should hold up to stage use very well, unless you are indifferent to caring for your equipment. Sonically, the pedal has (to me) a very wide sweep, with low tones reaching into a kind of almost unintelligible rumble, and highest tones very sharp and piercing. There is a significant signal level boost from the unit. I don't see this pedal as a really straightforward "plug and play"--there is a learning curve in order to get what you want from it, but then that is what the art and craft of music is all about. The important thing is that the unit is likely to please most folks by providing access to sounds that they might be looking for. It is up to the player to pull them out. Does the pedal recreate Jimi's pedal? There are too many signal path variables and artist expression variables involved for me to answer that one. That being said, I suspect that one can get close to emulation if that is what you are looking for and willing to work on it. I am quite happy with the unit, and glad that I bought it.
Music background: Student of the Guitar
