Squeeze Your Tones with this 3-In One Compressor! Give your favorite tone a major squeeze with the new Line 6 ToneCore Constrictor. Choose from three versatile compressor models including Compact, Squeeze, and Mellow, all based on classic analog compressors from the '60s, '70s and '80s. Line 6 ToneCore Constrictor at a Glance: Three vintage compressor emulations in one stompbox Noise gate and sustain controls range from mild to aggressive settings ToneCore Series quality, ruggedness and value Three vintage compressor emulations in one stompbox The Constrictor gives you not one, but three distinctive analog-modeled compressors, each recalling a vintage compression sound from the past. Use the Compressor Dynamics Model Switch to reconfigure the virtual circuitry inside Constrictor to give you three distinctly different flavors: Compact - Based on vintage stompbox compressors from the `70s and gives you a slight mid frequency boost. The virtual circuitry of the Constrictor is automatically reconfigured to run a 37:1 compression ratio, 10ms fast attack & 295ms slow release time when this model is run. Squeeze - This Constrictor setting gives you `80s stompbox-style compression with a pleasant treble boost. It runs a 19:1 compression ratio, 31ms slow attack & 98ms fast release time. Mellow - This is the place to be when you're in the mood for a classic tube compressor sound, with a nice, flat frequency response. The Constrictor is set to a 3:1 compression ratio, 10ms fast attack & 82ms fast release time. Noise gate and sustain controls range from mild to aggressive settings Constrictor gives you even more control over its compression settings. The level control hits the amp or effect fed by the Constrictor with more signal level, giving you more volume. With the Gate knob set at minimum the noise gate is off. Turn it up a bit to low settings, and the gate should be appropriate. Use high settings when there's more noise to tame, or you want to aggressively clamp to silence at the end of notes or chords. And set the Sustain knob at minimum to even out the difference between your loud and quiet playing a bit, without changing sustain too much. Or max it out to bring pretty much everything to the same level, with super sustain. You'll find the Constrictor to be one very flexible box!
