Has Optical Got You Oppressed? Is Coaxial Giving You a Conniption? At Sweetwater, we think digital format conversion should be simple. All you want to do is go out digitally from one device into the back of another, all in the digital domain - but no! You soon realize that one of your units has a coaxial output and the other has an optical input (unfortunately light and electric charges don't mix well). Luckily for you, your friends here at Sweetwater have the the CO2 Coaxial/Optical converter. CO2 converts your S/PDIF signals from optical to coax, and from coax to optical. Its clever 2-in 2-out design passes the original input signal through to one output jack, and the converted signal to the other output jack. This means the CO2 can be used as a converter and/or repeater! And with its great low price, you can afford to use several in your studio! Ultra-compact size: 3.5" x 2.25" x 1.2" Converts optical S/PDIF to coax S/PDIF, and vice-versa May also be used as a repeater for long cable runs Two digital inputs: 1 Toslink (optical fiber), 1 RCA jack (coax) Three-way switch selects operating mode Two digital outputs, both always active: 1 Toslink, 1 RCA jack Transformer-isolated RCA jacks prevent system ground loops Rugged, all steel construction |
