Customer Reviewsfrom Salt Lake City, UT January 20, 2012Music Background: Recording Engineer, Computer Systems Builder Actually a good value.Though this display is officially discontinued, it still is a great value for it's resolution. Look up prices of other 2560x1440 displays and you'll see they are right around this price point, and exceed it in a few cases. I've seen the displays made by Dell, NEC, Samsung, and in subjective quality, the Apple Display beats them. Of course, none of this matters much to an audio engineering professional, but to video and photo guys, the blacks are richer, the shadows show more details, and the colors are as close to spot-on as I have ever seen in a stock monitor that hasn't been calibrated. For DAW work, I don't like dual displays, one big display seems to work much better for my workflow, where in Logic Pro I have ample room to use the unified arrange window with mixer, MIDI parameters, and Library tools all showing. It's just FUN to sit down in front of this thing and get to work. BUY IT!from Latrobe, PA November 23, 2011Music Background: Engineer, drummer, pianist. Great displayThis is THE display if your willing to shell out the cash. The resolution is stunning. I have two in my control room and an iMac which is the same screen in my office. The iMac, Cinema Display and the Thunderbolt are all the same screens, just different features. A lot of people complain about the glossy finish, I for one love the look and it has never been an issue for me. I highly recommend this monitor.
