Marshall DSL15C

I replaced the stock speaker in my DSL with this speaker and it is much better. I play a lot on the clean channel with pedals. It has drastically improved the articulation. It has made the tone fatter, I have had to turn down the bass EQ. It has gotten rid of some of the harsh muddy tone that the stock speaker had. I would recommend changing the speaker if you have a DSL15C, it is almost like changing out the pickups in a cheap guitar, you notice an instant improvement. This is an "American" style speaker but I think it works well in the Marshall.

Fat and Chunky with Sparkle on top!

The is my 3rd Blues JR and I always love/hate these things and eventually sell them...maybe not this time. Pulled the Celestion A Type from my LTD edition and installed the C Rex to find a completely different amp! At first I wasn't sure I liked it because the sound was so fat and chunky I had to play it for hours on end to soak up the tight bottom, chunky mids and sparkle on top. Now I am sold this is a keeper, even the tone controls and Fart button work better!

Music background: 40 years small jam bands and late night blues excursions..

Lose the ice pick...

If you want to tame a bright amp or want to round out those upper mids that can be harsh and some speakers seem to accentuate, then the Cannabis Rex is a great choice. You will not forfeit the silk and glass of a Strat retaining the Fender chime while still having classic humbucker crunch tones available as well. Very warm versatile speaker that sounds great clean or with overdrive.

Great Speaker

I bought the Cannibus Rex as a replacement for the Blue Marvel in my Peavy Classic 30. It doesn't break up quite as early and it has a beautiful warm tone. It made an immediate difference and I love the way the amp sounds now. I can hardly wait till it gets fully broken in, it should only get even better!

Eminence Cannabis Rex...Excellent speaker!

An excellent improvement to the original Celestion Seventy 80 in my Blackstar HT Stage 60 single 12.
I asked my Sales Engineer, David Mikautadze for a speaker suggestion that would "add more sparkle on the clean channel and lose some "fizz" on the drive side".
This was his recommendation and he absolutely nailed it!
I find it hard to believe that one speaker could do both, but that it did.
The Blackstar is a fantastic, versatile amp and this speaker is an excellent upgrade.
