Customer Reviewsfrom Denton, TX December 23, 2011 Music Background: Musician/Writer, Recording Engineer Niiiiiice!!!Once upon a time, I played acoustic guitar (Ovation) through a bass amp, because I couldn't get the thick tone that I truly desired from other amps. This amp hits the right tone and still has enough power to keep up with the drums and bass. We are mainly an acoustic rock band, and play fairly quiet, but this amp can get up and go when necessary. The direct out works great too! I have it on a tilt-back stand and keep it plugged into the board so it's always ready to record. It's very light weight and portable for playing gigs. The extra mic input is a nice feature too if you wanted to play solo at a coffee shop. I just had to take a peak under the hood. The board is very accessible, the components are organized, and everything is extremely proper and neat. The engineers that designed this board did an EXCELLENT job! With that said, I spotted one cold solder contact, but that's probably the fault of the person that did the soldering :). Nevertheless, it looks like it would be very easy to repair if it was ever necessary. I'm very pleased with this amp. If you like to rock out on acoustic, this is a great amp! Could you do some lighter finger picking folk music or jazz? Absolutely! This amp is diverse enough to play an extreme range of acoustic music.... and do it well. Oh, and it looks really sexy too! from June 9, 2010 Music Background: Hobbyist Mazing amp!I got this amp to practice with at home, and to use at my gigs that I play around town. I was blown away with how this thing sounds, incredible natural tone. I run my acoustic guitar, and my cello, through a loop pedal into this thing, and it sounds wonderful. Takes some tweeking and turning of the nobs for a bit, but once you find the sweet spot it's golden. I run my instruments through it at solo gigs in fairly large coffee shops and it is more than enough juice. Love it! |
