From Our Research Team:A Classic Chorus Pedal Returns! Here's another great pedal in the Ibanez "9" series - the CS9 Stereo Chorus. Ibanez described it this way way back in the 1980s:The chorus effect uses a small time delay that's varied to produce a slight pitch bend. When the delay signal is mixed with the input (dry) signal, the resultant sound moves with a rich, thick undulation. This is the effect of multiple voices playing in unison. The CS9 Stereo Chorus provides stereo outputs that add an exciting dimension of movement to the second. The sweep speed and width controls allow the artist to elicit slow wideranging sweeps or a more rapid vibrato. The CS9 Stereo Chorus is the industry's finest realization of an exciting sound.

ReviewsI just love this sound
by Mark Mcdowell from Davenport FL
This to me is a definitive 80's-sounding chorus...I strum a clean chord with this effect on, and I can't help but play "Run To You" or "Purple Rain" or "Time After Time"...the sound is there!

As I watch this pedal it made me to recall my student days. I bought this pedal probably in 1982 and it was my first chorus pedal. I still have this pedal in working condition. This pedal infact has a... read more [+] very nice and unique sound. You can very easily recognize its sound from other similar kind of pedals. The sound quality is superb and it has got very bright, crisp and tight sound with lot of depth. I found it extremely effective while using it along with distortion and chords work really sound great. Mine has a slight background hiss when the signal dies but I hope after 25 years Ibanez surely would have resolved this problem as well. The build quality is excellent much more stronger than any other pedal of its class. I still own the Ibanez classics like Sonic distortion SD9, Phaser PH9, Flanger FL9 and I have been using them for the last 25 years and they are still working like new. Yes once my CS9 caused me a problem when its one of the chip soldering got dry, so I got it resoldered with any part replacement but that was happenned after 13 years of continous use. In the end I must say that one should give it a try and you will notice the difference and understand the reason why this pedal has been reissued. Thanks & regards. close [-]
