I bought this mic to accompany the Roland R-05. I like having things of like brand name. The first time i was doing a test to check signal, i recorded myself singing about input sensitivity, just for ... read more [+]fun, and the clarity was amazing, given my volume was right at the level of calm speech. The first live recording i did was my friends fusion instrumental group in a local pizza pub. Two half stacks, one fender twin powered, one peavey classic. The bass was an ampeg 8x10. i was slightly off center of the setup. 7ft away from the nearest amp and 4 ft away from the drums, and with some earbuds to monitor was able to tweak the reception with the simple twist of the bass drum mic stand i use, which is perfect for this mic's applications. December 26, 2011 Music Background: Engineer/Madman/Scientist/Celestial Jazz Enthusiast The result was a great balanced mix. I hit the bass rolloff on the Roland R-05 cause i thought the bass rig would be overpowering, but when i heard the recording i whished i hadn't changed anything at all! This mic can handle very high spl. This amazing little mic is solid, has a good weight, and is a very authentic transducer. I use the internal battery for it's condenser power. Power to the phantom! This mic is at least $30 more on all other sites i found. I got it here at SW for $99. Thanks katie and everyone at SW! close [-] Also popular
