Economical way to keep a clean setup

I use these for a keyboard/synth setup. The color coding makes it easy to keep everything organized, and the binding reduces the chance of problems. My use is stationary, so I didn't have to have top of the line cables since abuse is not a concern. I have no issues with noise or hum either, which is great for recording. I did have to carefully remove about a foot of the binding on one end to allow the cables to reach all of the keyboards/ synths, but the other end is perfect for feeding into the mixers. I added some velcro wraps to make everything stay in place. I don't think you can beat them for the price for stationary uses.

The Perfect Cleanup

This handy little piece of gear totally cleaned up the sends from our T20 unit on the Roland drum kit. We sent it to the ART T8 and saw the difference instantly, both in cleaner sound and the look on stage. Color coded cords made it super easy to install (5 minutes). Now we look and sound more professional.

The BEST.

As I type this, I have 19 of these snakes wired into my home studio. I have another 7 in my Road Kit. My relationship with Hosa predates my relationship (a very happy one!) with Sweetwater, and in my lifetime I have bought well-over 250 Hosa cables of varying types. Of that total, some 220 (I'm guessing, but that seems about right) are still in service. I have only ever had ONE "out of box" failure, and even then, that was intermittent: it was never quite clear whether the cable, or what was connected, was at fault. Thus: I cannot say enough good things about them.

In 2004, with some "Golden-eared" friends, I conducted a "cable shoot-out" in my studio, which included some SCARY-priced other cable makers, with "incredibly-exotic" alloys I n their wire. Our conclusion - at 44.1, nobody could hear a difference.

Regarding those 19 snakes in my Studio: some of them are clocking over 25 years of continuous duty. Some "Road kit" snakes failed after being on the road for 10-15 years - excessive abuse, flexing, beer, and - ah - "other failure modes" that are best not-recounted here.

Bottom line: HOSA DELIVERS.
