Great for monitoring deafening levels, noise

This is very a easy-to-use SPL meter. Runs a long time on a 9-volt. Simple but useful features, especially the max-hold function. This device lets you quickly see that your noise floor is unacceptably high and gives you a lot more credibility when complaining about excessive volumes! Also handy for brass/woodwind teachers who want to SHOW their students the range of dynamics possible.
