First off this plug is awesome fro what it can accomplish so well and so easily. No it it doesn't have a big tubish sound but on highs it real gets souding big because of saturation and broadness. But yeh probably not something you want to send out on the highs for. All in all I feel I get that "radio" sound for vocals and bass and rock guitar. Also might I add, I can use it on infinite tracks in stereo or mono. To me it really is "a" sought after sound. To be honest it doesn't sound like a real la-2a at all. It sounds very 2d and lacks depth to it. If you want something that sounds alot more like a real la-2a look at softube's tubetech cl1b plugin.
