A simple yet much appreciated fe... read more [+]ature when working with Cubase.December 6, 2009 Music Background: Music Producer, Keyboard player, Production company owner Before the ci2 came out I bought the presonus audiobox (2 channel usb interface). I was quickly dissapointed when I found out that Presonus doesn't make Windows 64 bit drivers for the hardware. Basically can't use it with it's ASIO driver which makes it useless cause of latency/buffer issues. I think the ci2 is one of the first interfaces that benefit from the Steinberg/Yamaha union. The hardware feels solid and is very intuitive to use. Preamps sound nice. It does lack Midi In/Out...but nowadays most devices are usb midi. It also lacks SpDif ins/outs but in my case I don't really need them. It's powered by usb so it's great for taking with your laptop and mixing on the fly. Drivers are very solid as well. Price is just right as well. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a 2 channel usb interface if you use Cubase AI/4/5. close [-] Windows 7 Issues - Buggy Drivers

Installation and setup was simple, however that is where my problems began. I am unable to get my buffer lower than 1024 without unacceptable amounts of audio artifacts, and upon doing some research I discovered that I needed to update my audio drivers. Even after doing so, unfortunately, the problems got worse. I am not asking to have a professional audio interface with the CI2, but it is literally unusable in its current state. Head over to the Steinberg Forums before you buy, and see all of the users with similar issues. If these issues were resolved, I could recommend this to other people, but until that happens I don't want anyone to make the same mistake I have made. close [-] Also popular
