by Eric Kaeding from Fort Wayne, IN
I purchased one for my Studio Live 24 that I use everywhere I can. The case is great and the dog house is great for storage of cables and little light when transporting board from gig to gig. However,... read more [+] I had to build a wheel board so one could roll this item around. Yes the Studio live is not that heavy but with the combined weight of the case and board I would not want to carry it a very long distance. Two people could carry it just fine but alot of the time it is just one person at a gig and it is hard to find help at times. Besides I have always heard the saying "work smarter not harder" so why not roll it around on wheels. So if Chase Case would add a wheel board to it the case would get a 5 star from me. close [-]
September 23, 2012 Music Background: Live Sound Engineer Excellent Protection
by Todd Stastny from Blue Springs, MO, USA
I too was looking to protect my investment for the StudioLive 24.4.2. The Chase Case is excellent for this purpose. Sturdy and form fitting to the monitor console. It gives you the feel of travelin... read more [+]g with the big boys on the road. This is one tough case! The doghouse unit appears a bit less robust. I added some foam to the hinges so the top of the doghouse lid rests perfectly horizontal now in the open position and can support my iPod and a beer (if you're brave enough to risk it spilling over into the cords housed down below). The doghouse has cutouts on each side to allow for cables interring and exiting, but the back of the unit is solid. If I were to upgrade the cable area of this case, I'd cut two or three ovals out of the back of the doghouse and allow cables to come and go from the rear so they don't have to hang out each side, looking disorderly, and to better allow the engineer to follow the cables in and out, closer to the input on the back of the Monitor. Still, a great case for protecting the brains of the band. close [-]
February 26, 2012 Music Background: Drummer Does what I need it to do.
by Kevin from United States
After some less than stellar experiences with other bargain cases that were "made for" the Presonus 24.4.2(I'm looking at you Gator), I finally bit the bullet and payed the extra cash for this box fr... read more [+]om Sweetwater.February 3, 2012 Music Background: Recording/Live sound Engineer, Musician As advertised, my mixer fits snuggly and doesn't move noticeably durring transportation. The construction is robust to say the least. This a heavy duty case and I feel confident that my investment is protected inside. Because of the construction this rig is decently heavy when loaded with the mixer. I plan on installing casters to the rear surface of the case to aid in transport. The only complaint that I have is that the hinge construction on the dog box lid feels a bit frail, especially since the rest of the case feels so durable. In the closed position everything is fine, but I feel like i could accidentally rip the lid off while it is open if any thing or anyone were to put too much downward pressure on it. This is not enough to change my opinion that the is a quality product. I just wanted to share. close [-]
