Amazing Mic!!!
by Joel from Seattle WA, May 2008
I own a few other mics in this price range but they don't shine like this one does. I'm suprised it dosen't cost more. Sound is on par with mics 2,3 or more times the price of this one. Highs are silky smooth, mids are real, lows are all there!!! Don't let the very resonable price fool you, this on par with any pro studio mic out there. I have a couple different pre-amps (Focusrite Trackmaster amd FMR Audio) and this mic sounds fantastic running through either of them. This mic is amazing!!

I have mr U-87 blue mouse and a C 3000B and this mic is the best over all package. The U-87 is best on rock and some rap but with the C3 hooked up to an avalon 737 I never have to switch mics. Dont get me wrong Naumann makes some of the best mics Iv heard but if you want a mic with fat sound that handles it all with the right pre that is its a must have. And as for the small switches I mean come on the switches dont pick up the sound and well they work. If your in the markit for a great mic that wont kill you pockets this is it.
Hard to beat for anywhere near the price...

If you don't have much cash and can only afford one decent microphone, this should be it. This large diaphragm condenser mic has a very nice sound that really belies its low price point. I agree that the polarity and pad switches are a little on the small side, but the microphone itself is big and burly and has a solid, sturdy feel to it.
Is it as good as the big expensive German mics? Well, that depends on the application... However, I will unequivocally say that it can easily hold its own with mics costing 10 X as much. It's really nice on female vocals, great for voice over / broadcast type work and gives you a really nice fat tone when miking a guitar amp.
Even if you can afford the big name gear, you should seriously consider getting a pair of these. You will find that the C3 will quickly become your "go-to" workhorse for all kinds of audio tasks.
All Around Great

I have 3 other mics but this is the only one i use. It is versitle and sounds great. For the money it can't be beat. I recorded an entire album with this microphone alone. I am sure it will become an industry standard
I have both C3 and the C1
by Jim from Newport News VA, April 2006
I own both these mics as they both can record anything. I have some cheaper mics that I cannot any longer use ...these 2 mics (c1 and c3) have the same sound signiture as the c3 is best on dual vocals in the figure 8 pattern.
Both record in fine detail and dont wash the total mix out like cheaper or even same priced mics..
I do find it a bit flimsey and not durable looking as the switches are small...good for the budget minded home recordings.
If you want a better mic and can afford it, get a Neumann as it will be a much tough a bit more aggressive sounding mic...Jim
This Mic Rocks
by Brian , November 2005
Just got this in last night. I have it connected to a presonus tubepre. Wow this mic rocks. The features are great, the sound is great, and the case and shockmount are great...This mic has a very nice pro sound to it....for the money I don't think it can be beat..but I have yet to test it up with the AKG 3000B.....
Got mine the other day...

It is nice for 2 singers, figure 8 is a better sound for that. Sounds as good as my C1 which i use to mic amps now...
