From Our Research Team:

A Fantastic Boost — with Reverb!

When you're playing a solo, you just need a little extra panache. Tech 21's Boost R.V.B. has that little something extra — and then some! On top of giving you 9dB of boost to help drive your amp into sweet, sweet saturation, the Boost R.V.B. soaks your sound in a spacious reverb. Tunable to sound like vintage reverb units (spring, plate, or hall), the Boost R.V.B. takes the reverb experience further. The remaining reverb tail trails off naturally; it doesn't meet an abrupt end when the pedal is bypassed — very cool! The Boost R.V.B.'s Rumble control lets you fine-tune the amount of low end in the reverb. Spice up your solos with a healthy dose of gain and a very cool reverb, with Tech 21's Boost R.V.B.!

Tech 21 Boost R.V.B. Clean Boost/Reverb Pedal Features at a Glance:
  • Uniquely combines reverb and clean boost, up to 9dB, in one pedal
  • Custom-tailor a wide variety of reverb styles, such as spring, plate, and natural room/hall ambience
  • Highly sensitive controls provide a broader range of tweakability and maximum flexibility
  • 100%-analog Mix, Feedback, Tone, and Level controls for warm, organic sounds
  • Continuously variable Time control
  • Rumble control contours the low end of reverb
  • Mix control ranges from 100% dry to 100% wet
  • 1Mohm high-impedance 1/4" input, same as traditional tube amplifiers
  • 1Kohm low-impedance 1/4" output drives long cables, without loss of signal integrity, even in bypass
  • Custom silent-switching actuator
  • Trails works in conjunction with bypass and allows for the signal to decay naturally
  • Buffered bypass eliminates the shortcomings associated with "true bypass" (pops and clicks, plus high-end loss when multiple pedals are connected together), as well as signal loss associated with other types of switching circuits
  • Heavy-duty, all-metal construction
  • Operable with 9V alkaline battery (not included) or optional DC power supply

Tech 21's Boost R.V.B. may just be the ultimate pedal for your guitar solos!

not bad...but overpriced

Its a reverb pedal. You cant really add too many "bells and whistles" to one, but somehow Tech 21 did. Unfortunately, I found they were pointless bells and whistles. Having said that, The reverb pa... read more [+]rt of it did sound pretty darn good, as I have spent many months trying to find the perfect reverb pedal.

PROS:
-Trails button: (allowing reverb to "trail off" after you switch the pedal off...but, shouldn't all reverb pedals do that anyway??)
-Switch: its more of a boss type feel, as in it doesn't "click" like a MXR or any other single button switch.
-Good sounding reverb
-Takes a boss/mxr/visual sounds etc power supply

CONS:
-Boost knob: kinda pointless in a reverb pedal...BUT if you are using it as a BOOST pedal....then, well...the reverb is pointless :P
-Feedback knob: basically useless. You crank it up past noon and it literally feedbacks your sound. Ok if you wanna try new errie sounds and whatnot, but not a knob I would put on a 'verb pedal.
-Mix knob: The manual actually states most 'verb pedals only allow you to mix dry/wet sound up to 50/50 but this goes all the way from full wet to full dry....ok, so when would you ever use full wet? Not a huge deal, just another observation.
-Side power jack: again, not a huge deal, but kinda a pain if you dont have right angle power jacks.

Overall, I kinda wish I had bought the Boss RV-5, as its cheaper, and in my opinion has better controls. close [-]
