The JoeCo BlackBox BBR1MP is a 24-channel Mic Preamp/ Recorder that makes live, stand-alone multi-channel audio procurement a snap. In addition to all the standard BlackBox features, this 24-channel recorder gives you 24 high-quality mic operating at up to 24bit/96kHz - all integrated into the recorder's petite yet rugged 1U chassis. The BBR1MP sports generous connection options, including individually switchable mic/line inputs and balanced outputs, video sync, and timecode, as well as word clock inputs. With its compact footprint, and great-sounding mic pres and converters, the JoeCo BlackBox BBR1MP is an elegant multitrack solution for your broadcast or live sound work.

JoeCo's BlackBox BBR1MP gives you flexible expansion possibilities in the form of optional, user-installable Dante and MADI interface cards, which add 24 channels of Dante or MADI I/O to your BBR1MP. You can connect your mics via tails from the rear-panel D-Sub connectors, or via the optional 2U breakout panel with XLR connectors. These system components are available individually, or as part of a bundle.
Broadcast WAV format recordingIn the BlackBox BBR1MP, audio is recorded direct to an external USB 2 drive (available separately) in Broadcast WAV format for instant ingest into your post production workflow. In addition to the BBR1MP's multi-channel recording capabilities, you also have provision for simultaneous stereo mixdown. The JoeCo BlackBox BBR1MP also supports the iXML data format.
Fully remote controllableThe JoeCo BlackBox BBR1MP runs off a 12V power source, and you can disable channels and features to preserve battery life on location. The BBR1MP is fully controllable via JoeCoRemote for iPad, which lets you set up individual mic preamp channel parameters, including level, mic/line selection, phantom power, highpass filter, soft limiter, and phase reversal. Your levels are clearly visible on high resolution meters, and you can tweak your monitor via expandable channel strips with graphical faders, pans, solos, mutes, and various other parameter controls.
