Beatstation = Awesome

I am a hip-hop DJ/producer. I spend 90% of my time slicing up audio files in various programs such as Recycle. That's what I do. If you are into slicing things up, this program is definitely worth the investment. While Recycle is very user friendly and efficient, it is still limited to the REX format which is only compatible with certain types of software. Beatstation allows you to slice up audio in the same way you would using Recycle. However, the slices are actual audio samples instead of REX files. This allows you to use them not only in Beatstation but in other programs as well. This is a very useful tool and should not be under-estimated. Not only that, but the sounds and presets that come with the Beatstation are nothing short of incredible. The oneshots are all ran through MPC's and other various types of hardware to give them that thumpy warm sound that is so sought after by hip hop and electronic music producers alike. The other day i went in and replaced the drums in a beat I made with drums from the Beatstation just to see what it would sound like, and within seconds my track sounded 10 times better than it did before. Once again, if you are a music producer who likes to chop things up and rearrange them into something new - or if you're just looking for some great sounds to start producing music with - this program is something you should definitely consider checking out.
