VXL BASS ATTACK DESCRIPTION

Attack Your Bass Sound!
The Hartke Bass Attack Pedal is a tone-shaping pre-amp that doubles as a direct box, featuring the famous Hartke Shape Circuitry. The Hartke two-button style stomp box has a three band EQ for adjustments of Bass, Treble, and Bright controls, plus a Harmonic control that emulates the warmth and drive of a tube so well that you'll never want to turn it off. The Hartke Bass Attack Pedal gives you the ability to finally get the sound you want, and everything in between!

Another Use for the Parallel Output
In a recording application, you can use the Bass Attack's Parallel Output as a second input! So, to create an effects loop, simply send a signal to your FX processor from the Line Output, then back through the Bass Attack by using the Parallel Output as an effects input. This will allow you to add an additional effect like a digital multi-effects processor for delay, chorus, and reverb AND have them mixed in with the Bass Attack preamp for a killer front end!

Hartke VXL Bass Attack Features:
  • VX tone shaping pre-amp / direct box
  • Famous Hartke shape circuitry
  • 3-band bass, treble and bright control
  • Harmonic control for tube drive emulation
  • Gold plated XLR direct output with selectable pre / post, and parallel 1/4" in/out
  • Rugged extruded aluminum stomp-box style construction
  • Operates on 9-volt battery (not included), 48-volt phantom power, or optional AD0006D power supply

“I really liked the sound I got with my Hartke bass amp,but was having problems with hum using the XLR out when recrding. I saw the Bass Attack when searching for an effects pedal. It had the same contols as my amp and at the price I figured what the heck. When I plugged it in, using the 48v phantom power from my VS480, I was blown away. Dead quiet when not playing and great bottom end and overall...” Read More

Sweetwater Expert Advice

"I initially got the Bass Attack to use as my front end on my live rig because it gives me all the tone control I need to get that punch I like. Now I find myself using it for direct recording. I can dial in the right sound very quickly and get a clean, hot signal through the XLR output. It can be powered via phantom through the XLR out as well. One other nice touch is the parallel 1/4" output that is perfect to keep your tuner hooked up without actually going through it. This thing is built like a tank too; it's solid and the knobs are smooth."
