Customer Reviewsfrom Atlanta, GA May 2, 2013Music Background: Pro Musician, Recording Engineer, Broadcast Engineer Ibanez BTB676 (Rosewood Fingerboard)I originally avoided 6 string bass's due to the fact I thought they would be harder to play due to the wider neck. But, I have always liked the extended range of my 5 string bass's and decided to take the next step and get a 6 string. Tried a sister model in a local store (gloss finish) and then sought out this model due to the price point and natural finish. This bass plays beautifully with very light action, very good sustain and has a great neck. Tone is a little thinner that my 5 string Ernie Ball Stingray, but still is quite good with its active pickup system.from Sacramento, Ca. January 27, 2013Music Background: Musician Great Bass! This is a great bass! I have been playing for 18+ years in various venues from rock to Jazz to R&B to Church Worship.I own a few 4 string basses and several 5 strings with each offering something different in sound. I have found this to be the most vesatile bass I've played. This bass has great sustain and a clear low bottom end. The Bartolini Pick up offers clarity in sound and the Neck is very comfortable to play.
