This is the perfect recording tool for the guitar player who does not want to go to a computer recording solution. Press record, press play, and that's it! The BR-900CD also has a built-in drum machine so you can get your groove on. This unit brings all of the COSM technology Boss has to offer in a small portable package. "Easy" is the key word with this unit. Once you're done you can burn a CD and give it to your music buddies or play it in your car. If you are computer savy, this unit does have USB for easy file transfers.

For the last 8 years I have been playing rock n' roll and blues, and wanted to start getting into recording music that I wrote, or covered. I was going to by the 1600cd for more recording space, and more tracks, but my wallet held me back, so I bought the BR900cd. When got it, I was expecting a good unit, but nothing amazing. I opened the box, breifed on the rather large manual and figured some of it out. For the first week took a little while to get used to and sometimes drove me nuts, but after that, recording became a breeze. I am also very happy with the sound quality, settings, and the ability to produce a cd right in my small bedroom studio. I am very happy the reliability, and the fine quality. If you're not sure if this is the recording purchase for you, buy it. close [-]

This is the perfect piece of recording gear for any musician. It may take a while to learn all of the features, but once you do it becomes very simple. And by the way, the features are outstanding. ... read more [+] All the effects are amazing.
It really is a great compact machine. It has everything you need. You can write, and then record an audio CD directly after. It also has drum tracks to help write songs or drum beats to form your own rythm. This really is a great recorder.
And DO NOT get lazy! Read the manual and learn all of the features and benefits this thing has to offer. close [-]

I am really having good fun with this machine. any type legendary sound is all right there ,plus no limitations to your own custom tones. this is better than the larger ones with a disk drive, because ... read more [+] it has a cleaner noise free operation,...definitly add the 1GB compact flash card to extend your "minutes" capabilities...bounce the tracks to get up to like 64 track unit...I have been so busy on this for one whole year I have not even done the wah/expression pedal yet ,but will get one soon.this mini-mite is the real deal! close [-]

Sounds great with a condesor mic and a tube pre-amp. You should pick these items up along with the unit. I would have given this a 5 star but the drums are not really that great. I used the bass ca ... read more [+]bnets and it sounded superb. Nice smooth tone that fills your mix. Pretty straight forward recording with alot to discover. The onboard mic is a nice touch. Also it comes with version 2 software and a 1gb memory card which was a bonus!! close [-]
