Magic microphone!

I recently purchased a pair of Audio-Technica BP893 mics to use with two Line 6 XD VL70 systems and cannot believe the great results from the mics!
I had chosen to replace the Line 6 HS 70 mics which were sonically fine but a little visually intrusive for a TV presenter. I had no time to test various mics and asked Jason at Sweetwater for his advice. The Audio-Technica BP893's had just been released and he highly recommended them - best advice I have ever taken! I am AMAZED at the presence of the voice on the mic as the mic is at least 4 inches from the presenters' mouth AND the mic is so discreet, I kept being asked whether the presenters were mic'd! 80 % of all the recording that I did was outdoors in uncontrolled environments and I cannot think of any other way of achieving the results that I did - don't let the small size fool you!

Just not right for my use!

I purchased the BP893 to replace the BP892 (because of shorter boom).
I use them in a auditorium seating approx. 200 people for Lectures.
Although I have been using a lot of AT products I found I could not get
enough volume without feedback with this Mic.
However the BP 892 does a fine job.
