This guitar exceeded my expectations. It has a real ultra fast neck that is satin so your hands don't stick when you sweat. Ultra access heel allows for great upper reach. Ebony fretboard feels gre... read more [+]at. The finish on the guitar is spectacular. The thing that surprised me the most was how great the sustainiac pickup sounds when disengaged(which sets it to act like a normal pickup). Everything else is great , the only thing that could make this guitar any better would be to coil tap the shred pickup and add a middle single coil. close [-]

I am a b... read more [+]ig fan of Avenged Sevenfold and when I found out that Synyster Gates had been playing Schecter guitars for years, I figured they must be doing something right. I know they make the Synyster Gates custom model, but I'm just not crazy over the more wild look of that particular body shape. So I listened to/looked at a few other Schecter guitars on Youtube videos, and there were several that sounded very good, and then, I noticed a new video posted with a "review" of this exact guitar - turns out it's in Korean or something, but at least you can hear the guitar, and what the Sustaniac function sounds like if you've never heard it before. Anyway, in my opinion, it's hard to top a flat black guitar with a skull on the fretboard, and that combined with hearing it in action were enough for me to pull the trigger.August 4, 2012 Music Background: I dabble I'm glad I did, because I absolutely love this guitar! I seriously don't ever want to put it down. It's incredibly light weight (far lighter than my Strat) and is just so easy to play. Bends are effortless. This guitar has really inspired me to kinda rededicate myself to playing more, and learning as much as I can. It’s really amazing. I’m also a huge fan of Collective Soul, and their lead guitarist Joel Kosche. Although he plays expensive MJ guitars, I saw an interview with him where he said they are mahogany body w/ebony fretboard like this one, so I guess I just found that interesting. I know that doesn’t make it the same guitar, but it does produce a range of rock tones. It’s really more versatile than I expected it to be – not as much so as a Strat – but still more than I thought. Overall, it’s just an outstanding guitar. I love the Floyd Rose too.
