I have been using Band in a Box for 10 years, since my Berklee days. It is the best tool for practicing over chord changes and developing improvisational skills on any instrument. The new version with the "Real Drums" and "Real Styles" is amazing. Bye-bye to cheezy MIDI rhythm sections, these are real players and they are much more inspiring to jam along with. I recommend this to EVERY musician!

GREAT TOOL FOR SONGWRITERS!

I've only scratched the surface but so far BIAB has proven itself to be an incredible time-saving and creativity fueling tool for the aspiring songwriter like myself. I immediately and easily sketched out a song I had written for my Mom and Dad many years ago that I had always felt would sound best as a country song and added a country ballad style with pedal steel accompaniment (something I just couldn't do without hiring professional studio players) and it sounds wonderful! I hope to surprise my Dad(Mom's since passed) with this version for Christmas ...I know he'll love it! ...thanks to BIAB! Now if PG Music would just come out with "VOX-IN-A-BOX", I'd be set!

Great tool for practicing and writing music with. You can try multiple different arrangements, and get a great idea of what it would sound like in multiple keys before recording your final mix. highly recommended!!!!
