New, High-quality Percussion Sounds
If you want to keep your sound fresh, you need to add new sonic elements to give your sound ways to expand. Luckily, FXpansion frequently releases high-quality expansion packs to keep your palette interesting - and that's just what BFD B.O.M.B. is. All of the sounds were recorded using carefully selected high-end equipment to capture the detail and beauty of these instruments. Multiple mic positions, articulations, and velocity layers are provided - and most sounds feature up to 50 velocity layers, with many snares offering even higher levels of detail! You can expect a 38GB suite of grooves, ready to inject classic orchestral sounds, hip-hop street beats, drum-corps, and marching performances into your music.

A Wide Range of Orchestral Elements
A full chromatic set of Orchestral Chimes and Timpani are included for melodic lines - perfect for film and commercial composition, or for complementing classic rock tracks. Tonal bass drums give you floor-shaking alternatives to standard kick drums, so you can make storming hip-hop kicks - or you can use the Brake drum for a more latin street percussion groove.

A Host of Signature Marching Band Sounds
The cutting crack of a marching band snare is useful for all kinds of mixes. Quad toms, in particular, are great for changing up the tom sound we're all used to hearing. With BFD B.O.M.B, you'll also enjoy a full complement of cymbal sounds including a variety of hand cymbals. Suspended cymbals are included as well - they don't have a cymbal stand to dampen their vibrations, so they ring out even longer than drumkit-based cymbals.

Meticulously Recorded by a Pro
John Emrich, creator of BFD Jazz & Funk, and BFD Percussion, recorded and edited BFD B.O.M.B. in its entirety. The collection was recorded at Omega Studios, Rockville, Maryland. John was Chief Musician of the US Navy Band in Washington, DC, and has a great deal of experience performing on drums of all shapes and sizes. An experienced studio engineer as well, John put together all of his drum know-how and expertise to record this high-quality collection.
