Great head for a decent price!

This batter head is beautiful. It has a deep punch to it and it's interchangeable dampening helped shape a perfect sound to my liking. Go Evans!

It Buzzes

The tone was okay, but this head buzzes way too much for recording. It may have been that the plastic groove had separated from the head. This may be a rare case, but I won't waste $40 again. I prefer to use a pillow on the inside of the drum for dampening instead. It's a great concept, but it didn't work for me. I encourage others to try though. You never know until you've experienced it yourself.
