The Burl Audio BAD8 is an eight-channel analog-to-digital daughter card for the company's B80 and B16 Mothership chassis. Following on the heels of Burl Audio's successful B2 Bomber and the BAD4, the BAD8 incorporates over a quarter century of converter design expertise. The BAD8 employs state-of-the-art analog circuitry and analog-to-digital conversion in a no-compromise design utilizing a Class A, discrete-transistor signal path and Burl's acclaimed BX1 transformer-coupled input. Leveraging the BX1 transformer's form factor to allow for higher channel density, the BAD8 delivers natural, highly detailed sound with vanishingly low latency.
