Great sound for the price

By Michael from Portland on June 27, 2023 Music Background: Owner/operator Phoenix Audio

No cap, sound boiz are lit, fam! Loud, clear, very little distortion even when really pushing them. Ive got em hooked up to my Allen and Heath PA-12CP pushing 500w per channel as my main tops, along with a custom designed dual 15" W-Bin bass bin running off a 1200w amp. The Behringer 215XLs kick ass in this configuration.

Great for home theater

By Sweetwater Customer from Michigan on June 15, 2022 Music Background: Home theater enthusiast for 20 over years

I am using these behind my projector screen as my Left, Center, and Right speakers. They sound absolutely amazing for the money. They have a high sensitivity so they are easy to power and can get louder in my 2,500 cubic foot room than I ever need them to go. A lot of people assume that these will produce decent bass because of the 15" driver, but if you look at the specs they are clearly not intended for bass at all. I have proper subwoofers to take care of the lows so these do everything I need them to.

Used these speakers as mains for a 4 piece band in a small to medium club. Matched up with the Behringer pmp2000d powered mixer. Great sound with plenty of power. I will definitely recommend it.

Behringher 15' passive speaker

Your staff really got me out of a jam getting these speakers tome asap...ive used this same product before. Light weight, durable and somewhat water resistance for playing outdoorshows along the beach. The last pait i had were in service for almost 10 years as my best attempts to keep them looking presenable were for not. But the folks that i passed them on to love em and use them oftem...so when it came to NEEDING a set that would fill the void for the most bang per buck i hee hawed till it came down to the wire..im happy i went with what i know works well in the applications that it comes up...i had been buying products from this company when they were largly made in Germany then when manufaturing went to China a quaility dip occured i feel. No you cannot avoid the DIP from any manufacturer if electronics, however if these speakers hold up like the last ones did i feel satisfied. Im using covers i made to help protect them even better than the last ones...thank you Sweetwater team and Evan in piticular

Getting Better @Behringer

By William Cooper from San Diego, Ca on March 23, 2022 Music Background: over 40 years of live performing

I've tried various Behringer products over many years and have always found them to be value priced at the cost of top quality, but fairly decent. These days Behringer seems to really have gotten their products much better while still maintaining a value position. These cabs are no exception. I bought these to throw in a small studio and they sound really clean with a respectable amount of base and clear highs. Time will tell how they hold up, but for the money if I get a year out of them, I'll consider them a great purchase.

You got to hear these

Good value, but nothing spectacular

It's one of the smallest and lightest enclosures you can get a 15" and (relatively large) horn into. That, and the low price actually make it a good value for the average listener. But for the same reasons, compromises have to be made on the performance. The plastic cabinet is not very deep so do not expect to get any low bass. The speaker sounds good on vocals, but on music playback I hear some harshness in the high end. Still, it is above average for this price point because I have heard much worse. Adding the Behringerr SX3040 Sonic Exciter improved both the lows and the highs, but eventually I went back to my heavier JBL speakers because they just sound better. In conclusion, the B215XL is a nice-looking speaker with efficient output and decent wattage capability that handles easily, but use it with a sub if you need full range thump.
