Hard-shell protection, substantial padding, thoughtful cutout for the two wireless units (audio and MIDI), and the padding is perfectly cut out for the very-odd shaped instrument. The TSA-friendly latches seem of good quality, everything seems to align very neatly for now (we all know how these things can get dicey over time and abuse), and the whole package is very shlep-friendly size, girth and weight to and from the gig. If you're looking to air-ship, stick with ATA-class. But if you're self-hauling all your own gear like a lot of us average joes, this case works perfectly for the AX Synth close [-] Perfect fit
