Of these, the biggest negative is the small knobs making level adjustments not as easy as they should be. Having said that, consider the price of this preamp and the cleanliness of the output. The main problem with this unit is that the output won't provide pro levels - it won't provide full headroom to an audio interface expecting +4dBu - that includes everything from the M-Audio interface... read more [+]s like the delta 44 & 66 to super-expensive stuff. It *is* nice and quiet and sounds fairly good, also provides nearly +48v for your condenser mics - i guess it could be used as a pre-amp for computer soundcards or to provide extra mic inputs on small mixers where the line level inputs can be cranked up ... but, alas, it's not a viable cheap pro-audio preamp.
