Impeccable PRS Craftsmanship in an Acoustic Guitar
The Angelus from Paul Reed Smith is more than just a gorgeous, painstakingly crafted acoustic-electric guitar — it's one of PRS's first acoustic guitars. With an allure all its own, the Angelus features a striking European spruce top, figured mahogany back and sides, and a Cocobolo fingerboard. It's noted for its unusual strong volume, bass, and balanced response, providing a unique voice for an acoustic-cutaway guitar. There are also PRS's signature abalone bird inlays, a wide carved Peruvian mahogany neck, and Paul Reed Smith's proprietary electronics on this Angelus.

PRS's mastery turns to acoustic guitars
Paul Reed Smith is considered one of the world's finest guitar makers, known around the globe for their gorgeous electric guitars, each dripping with an incredible tonal palette. And now, PRS — in collaboration with premier guitarist Martin Simpson — has directed all that expertise to the realm of acoustic instruments, crafting two lines — the Angelus and the Tonare Grand — each designed and crafted with an unwavering attention to detail and tone.
The finest tonewoods and PRS-signature appointments
The PRS Angelus features a 15.5" Angelus body with a cutaway, with a solid European spruce top and beautiful figured mahogany back and sides. The neck of this Angelus follows Paul Reed Smith's "wide" neck shape and is carved from choice Peruvian mahogany. A Cocobolo fretboard gives the neck and extremely smooth feel and rich tones, and the signature bird inlays denote the Angelus as a member of the PRS family at first glance. In all, the Angelus manages to strike the perfect balance between modern eye-catching adornments and a traditional acoustic appearance that's steeped in history.
