Convolution Reverb
Audio Ease Altiverb 7 XL wrote the book on convolution reverb. Convolution reverb is the sampled Impulse Responses (IRs) of acoustical spaces. Initially recorded with a click, starter pistol, or even a sine wave, the sonic signature of an acoustical space is then extracted and saved as an Impulse Response, or IR. Altiverb 7 XL contains boatloads of great-sounding IRs - all instantly accessible and with total recall.
