Call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for assistance. Apple AirPort Extreme makes it easy to create a turbocharged wireless network combining both Macs and Wi-Fi-compliant Windows PCs. It's quite common these days for musicians to have studios comprised of both. In fact one well-known electronica artist whose name we won't drop (his initials are BT) has a setup of five PCs running samplers and two Macs for audio recording. Imagine having to run wires, wiggling through crawl spaces, and break through walls to set up a networked studio. Apple AirPort Extreme eliminates all that, plus having to anticipate future needs, since you can serve up to 50 Mac and Windows users simultaneously with the AirPort Extreme Base Station. Wireless Extreme With AirPort Extreme, you can create a turbocharged wireless network accessible to both Macs equipped with the AirPort or AirPort Extreme Card and Wi-Fi-compliant Windows PCs, as well as other network devices like printers. Fast Data Rates Using the 54 Mbps IEEE 802.11g wireless standard, Apple's AirPort Extreme delivers data rates nearly five times faster than the 802.11b standard. The AirPort Extreme Base Station serves up to 50 Mac and Windows users simultaneously. And it comes complete with all the connectivity you need - including ports for a DSL or cable modem or a local area network, a 56K V.90 modem, a USB port and range-extending antenna connector - to create the wireless world of your dreams. Wireless Extension AirPort Extreme allows you to easily extend the area of your wireless network when you need coverage beyond its standard 150-foot range. The AirPort Extreme Base Station features a range-extending antenna connector, to which you can connect an Apple-certified directional or omnidirectional antenna. The antenna expands the standard coverage area of your base station. You can also extend the range of your network through wireless bridging. With wireless bridging, one AirPort Extreme Base Station communicates wirelessly with another AirPort Extreme Base Station that has a physical Internet connection to increase your wireless network area.(3) No need to deal with the expense or inconvenience of additional cables. Wireless Printer Sharing Short on printers? Everyone in your house, office or classroom can share a single USB printer connected to the USB port on the AirPort Extreme Base Station. Or you can use AirPort Extreme to access an Ethernet printer connected to your office or school Ethernet network. Either way, you and everyone on your wireless network can print wirelessly.(4) Easy Setup Setting up AirPort Extreme is virtually effortless. The AirPort Setup Assistant does most of the work for you, setting up your network, transferring the active Internet settings from your computer to the AirPort Extreme Base Station and configuring your computer to access the AirPort Extreme network created by the base station.
