VIR2 Acoustic Legends HD

I have most of the Native instruments programs with now being upgrraded to Komplete 8 but was looking for a good guitar sounding package and Acoustic Legends fit the bill which at this time Native instruments does not have.

Acoustic legends has allot of great sounding guitars for use with my composing and I mainly use it within Kontakt as a VST within my DAW for all my guitar sequencing tracks now. All the different guitars have a unique sound quality to them which gives me a wide variety of guitar textures to choose from for doing my classic Rock, Country, and Newage styles of music.

Since I just recently got the software, I haven't gone through all the sounds it can do but besides the guitars it has banjos,basses, Ukuleles, various guitar noises, chord modes, harmonic, muted and special effects categories, The guitars themselves are broken down into Nylon, Steel String, and 12 string guitars and are specific brand name sounding guitars. Never hearing the actual brand name guitars and myself being a keyboardist, I assume they sampled them from the actual guitar. Whether these sound good enough for the pure guitarist musician, you will have to decide for yourself. Adding a small amount of effects on top the guitar sounds makes them sound great.

The program itself installed with no problem and activated through Native instruments service center program. It needs to be activated otherwise Acoustic legends operates in the demo mode and times out after 15 minutes. I think the program library take up about 20 gig of hardrive space and you need Kontakt 4 or 5, not the player, to have Acoustic Legends work fully and correctly.

If you dont have any guitar sounds, I feel this is a great guitar package to add to your soundbanks arsenal for guitar songs.

great sound

so far the best acoustic guitar sample library i have owned. i have rel guitar wich sounds great too.. but the multi sample on acoustic legend hd is great.though i wish they could have add a patch with velo slide in it... like the real guitar does. but none the less... you wont regret having this...
