Well worth the price

I just purchased the Korg AX3000B, first off let start by saying that this was my first purchase from Sweetwater, and I am very happy with the service I recieved, I called customer service to inquire more about this product and spoke to a very kind and very, very, helpful man named Kieth, I orderdd this on monday late afternoon, Kieth told me he would ship it out that night and that I recieve it on wendsday, and shure enough it was here on wensday afternoon,I will be purchaseing alot more things from Sweetwater, The AX3000B is very nice and more importantly very user friendly, even for the extremely technologically challanged like my self, the effects are very nice, although I dont really use alot of effects, I do session work and play 15 different basses so it is more for the amp and cabinet modeling that I choose to purchase this, I like to have alot of my tones and sounds pre programed so all I have to do is just hita a certain band and channel in order to get my sound for wahtever the chosen bass is that I am useing at that time and not have to waste alot of precioius time fooling around trying to find the right tone, I had bought the Line6 floor pod xt live a few weeks back and found it to be more frustraiting to use and program, very user unfriendly, so I returned it to the other big music outlet that I purchased it from, I recomend this unit very highly it is very easy to use and it delivers, I also recomend Sweetwater to all looking to purchase thier next musical need, so far I am very impressed with them.

The sounds in the pedal are pretty good. It has some very cool FX that just aren't found in any other pedals. It seems to be lacking in the distortion section though. They sound fake and just generic. The compressor isn't very good either. The main problem is there's no dedicated bypass button. You have to hold down a button for 2 seconds before you get a bypass. Imagine doing that during a live show. I had to program patch 1 on each bank with no FX. Still, it's not a bypass. Signal has a AD & DA conversion. For this alone I deduct 2 stars.

To say that the Korg AX3000B is versatile would be an understatement. There are so many tonal possibilities with this badboy! Whether you put it in your amp's effects loop or patch it directly into your recording equipment or use head phones to practise with,it sounds amazing. Every bass player should have one of these. Another reason I love it is because it's easy to use. It's made really well too. So what are you waiting for?!!!

This multi-effects unit has every sound you could possibly need or want. You have so much control over each of the effects. It is almost 20 inches wide and weighs almost 8 pounds. It is well built, all metal casing. The knobs are not made to take abuse, meaning you should not use your foot to turn any of the knobs. Reading the manual is highly recommended. You must be patient when learning how to use the AX3000B, then you will reap the mastery of all the great sounding effects.
