Solid Engelmann spruce on mahogany gives you warm lows and sparkling highs With its characteristically balanced tone and extreme clarity, Engelmann spruce is a highly sought-after top wood for big-bodied dreadnoughts. Ibanez gave their AW300DVS Artwood acoustic guitar an Engelmann spruce top to ensure that it will provide you with bold lows and sparkling highs. Combined with its mahogany back and sides the AW300DVS Artwood acoustic guitar's tone provides plenty of midrange breathing room, making it an excellent guitar for anything from solo singer/songwriter performance to full-on acoustic rock. Bound rosewood fingerboard provides extra-smooth feel If you've never nearly sawn off your fingers on the unfinished edges of a cheaply made guitar, then consider yourself lucky. If you're hoping to avoid the experience altogether, then the Ibanez AW300DVS Artwood acoustic guitar's a great choice for you. That's because the AW300DVS features a fully bound rosewood fingerboard, in addition to its bound body and headstock. You're going to love the feel of this wonderful guitar! Dreadnought body style provides plenty of acoustic projection The dreadnought body shape like the one Ibanez designed the AW300DVS with has been one of the most popular acoustic guitar body styles ever since it hit the guitar-playing world. Why? Because back in the day, guitarists had to relay solely on the natural projection of their instruments, and the dreadnought body style provided plenty of sound-slinging power. Even these days, with PA systems easily at hand, you'll love the clarity and punch of your AW300DVS acoustic dreadnought guitar every time you pick it up. I now have two Ibanez Artwoods. The Aw10NT and the Aw300DVS. Both sound and feel great. I can compare them to my Takamine Solid Spruce Model, my Ovation CC-24 and a Taylor 114ce I got to play with. It... read more [+] sounds as good as all of them, it really does. And the action on both were perfect for me. I don't believe you can get a better guitar for $300.00 and under. The build quality on these is surprisingly outstanding. No, I know, it's not a Martin, a Taylor, or a Gibson, but for this price range, they are amazing. It's a great guitar for a beginner, intermediate player like me, or even a pro who wants a good quality beater that will actually sound good and stay in tune. I will say that the natural version (aw-10) is a little louder than the sunburst finished ones. close [-]
