Great performance at a great price!

I was looking for a condenser mike patterned in an X-Y configuration to record vocals and acoustic guitar. After considering several brands, I chose th Audio Technica AT 822. I'm sure glad I did! THe sound is amazing, better, sweeter and clearer than any mike I've ever heard. Not only does this mike bring my vocals to life, but it makes it sound like I'm right in the same room as the listener. It brings out the bass in my Martin guitar, and the highs in my voice quite nicely. The X-Y configuration gives the music a beautiful spacial quality without the hastle of having to position two microphones. This mike is battery powered and can be used with Edirol R09 for stellar recordings. I use this mike with my Edirol and the quality is absolutely. amazing! I am so impressed with this mike, that I'm recording my entire album with it. It's clear, responsive, does not hiss or feedback at all, and is extremely versatile. I have used this mike to record vocals, mandolin, acoustic and electric guitar. It has outperformed my other mikes. If you are looking for a great mike for a low price, buy this one. I am highly impressed and will certainly buy more AUdio Technica mikes in the future.
