The AT822 sports two condenser elements set up in an optimally positioned, wide-range XY configuration. There's no need to worry yourself over Phantom power, an internal battery will power the AT822 for over 1,000 hours. Mixing to mono? Have no fear, you get full mono compatibility! This mic even includes a 1.7' (0.5 m) cable (XLRF-type to stereo 3.5 mm mini-plug), and a 10' (3 m) cable (XLRF-type to two mono 3.5 mm mini-plugs)! If you have a portable Mini-Disc, DAT or CD recorder, this mic is perfect for stereo field recordings! Audio Technica AT822 Features: Elements: Two condenser. Polar pattern: Cardioid (x 2) Full mono compatibility is retained, and natural response is achieved over a 270 degree arc. Ultra low mass 2-micron diaphragm yields smooth response from 30Hz-20kHz. Dynamic Range (Typical): 101 dB, 1 kHz at Max. SPL. Frequency Response: 30 - 20,000 Hz.        Impedance: 200 ohms.                Low Frequency Roll-off: 150 Hz, 6 dB per octave.
