From Our Research Team:Extremely Compact and Affordable Power DistributionTurn to the Furman ASD-120 when you need to power crucial gear up or down in groups. This sequenced power distributor is both compact, and low cost - ideal as a part of a touring PA system, for mobile recording, on-location film shoots, and wherever a hard-wired, built-in AC power system is missing. With the ASD-120 you can power up six circuits in a sequenced fashion with the sequence reversed for power down - adjust the delay interval using an internal trimpot. Protect your gear and speakers with the Furman ASD-120 power distributor.Furman ASD-120 Sequenced Power Distributor at a Glance:
Safely powers six circuits up and down With the ASD-120, you can power up six circuits in a sequence with the sequence reversed for power down. You can manually adjust the delay interval via an internal trimpot. In audio systems, sequenced powering is often necessary to allow turn-on transients from low level amplifiers and processors to settle down before any power amps are turned on. If you turned everything on at once, you'd get one huge, loud - and potentially destructive - "pop" reaching the speakers. Plus, if you have any large system whose components present an inductive load to the AC line (including electric motors, power supplies, and power amplifiers of all kinds), sequenced powering can avoid excessive inrush currents that could cause circuit breakers to trip even though the steady-state currents are not excessive. Convenient three-position front panel switch On the front panel of the Furman ASD-120 is a three-position switch for each circuit that allows each circuit to be a part of the power up/down sequence, or to remain on or off apart from the sequence. There's an LED as well that indicates when the powering sequence is in process. You can initate the sequence with either momentary or maintained switches - both locally and remotely. There's a duplex outlet for each delay step, and a locking switch with removable key for maximum security Can use multiple ASD-120s in combination Since the sequence control signals are also located on the rear panel, one ore more ASD-120s can be installed in remote locations and operated via low-voltage control wiring. The sequence control signals can also drive Powerports, MiniPorts, PS-PRO and PS-8-R Power Sequencers, or any other circuits that need to know when their particular delay time has elapsed. Each ASD-120 handles 120 amps of incoming power The Furman ASD-120 can handle up to 120 amps of incoming power, distributing it to six 20 amp, 120V circuits. Each circuit has a front panel status indicator that lights upw hen it's turned on, and a 20 amp duplex outlet on the rear panel. Furman ASD-120 Sequenced Power Distributor Features:
