Customer Reviewsfrom November 13, 2012Music Background: Engineer, Producer Way more useful than you might thinkUsed subtly this can be an amazing mix tool to give something brightness without being harsh. That's pretty hard to find in the digital realm so this is a welcome tool for me!from Southern California April 11, 2012Music Background: Hobbyist Killer Guitar EQ Plug-inAs a recording hobbyist, I learn mostly by trial and error it seems, and I have spent loads of time fooling around with various EQs and such but only getting consistently uninspiring results. Well, I was immediately blown away by this EQ plug-in. It really brings out the aggression in my guitar tracks--exactly what I was hoping it would do. Easy to use and instant gratification! Fred Freda is spot on with his observations in his reviews. Couple this with Softube's Tilt EQ and you have a winning combo for great guitar tracks. I can see now why the hardware unit this plug-in is based on was used for Metallica's Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets albums. Epic!from New Jersey November 2, 2011Music Background: Recording Engineer Less Is MoreWith all the multi , quasi, expandable and ultimately re-configurable plug-ins to choose from and rack your brains on. It's nice to use something simple that just works. This EQ works best as a boost. The wide pre defined curves will not work well for surgical work but to sweeten a guitar or bass it's the best I have ever used. If your computer has enough juice to use Inserts on your input channel try using this as a can't miss EQ to fatten up and subtly color your sound, You will love the results.from NC January 24, 2013Music Background: Engineer, musician. Wasted cashI was really excited about this plug and expected it would have the interactive/phase-y feel of the hardware but it doesn't. At this price it should, considering how cheap some far superior products are (variety of sound, sknote, nebula). Nice face plate though. |
