ART 322-A - Active 2-Way PA Speaker with Astounding Sound! The RCF ART 322-A is the reference-quality, powered PA speaker we've all been waiting for. We tested RCF ART 322-A powered PA speakers at a live gig. It was the first time we actually had people from the audience come up to us afterward and compliment the sound quality of our PA system! When you need the long throw and power of a 2" compression driver for larger venues, The ART 322-A is the ideal cabinet. The ART 322-A also makes an excellent choice for an over-the-top monitoring set-up. An optional infrared remote control lets you adjust volume, EQ, and mute from anwhere in the house. With its superb bass punch and precise, linear frequency response, and chest-thumping power, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better active PA speaker than the RCF ART 322-A. RCF ART 322-A at a Glance:
400-watt Active, 2-way PA System RCF ART 322-A is an active, wide-dispersion 2-way sound reinforcement speaker. It integrates a high power 400-watt amplifier, with a complete electronic processor section, and RCF Precision Series low-distortion, high-power transducers. The result is a compact, high-power accurate system, offering incredible linearity and vocal intelligibility. It gives you excellent transient response, accurate reproduction in the low mid-range, and a tight, deep bass. New high-power 12" Woofer The RCF ART 322-A features a new high-power 12" woofer, a result of the latest refinement in years of RCF experience in compact 2-way speaker manufacturing. It features a 3" voice coil to minimize power compression and extend the life of the ART 322-A. RCF has developed a unique voice coil, that combines the advantages of their inside/outside technology with the superior quality of polyimide-imide materials (wire resins and "former" resins). The inside/outside coil offers many advantages: The dissipation surface is doubled; the adhesion area of the "former" is doubled; and during thermal expansion the former is squeezed between inside and outside layers offering the optimal mechanical resistance. RCF's "former" is made from polyimide - imide fibreglass, and the area between the coil and the cone is a triple layer of fibreglass nomex for maximum stiffness and accurate sound transfer. The ART 322-A's compression driver uses a 0.05mm pure titanium dome featuring a complex geometry suspension and Direct Drive coil. RCF has developed an oxygen-free process of moulding ultra-thin pure titanium film in high-quality, finely controlled shaped diaphragms. The process offers superior sonic quality extended to the highest audible frequencies, which guarantee consistent power-handling and reliability. This innovative design is powered by a massive high-flux neodymium magnet and an edge wound 64mm aluminium voice coil. RCF's unique driver offers a transparent midrange and extreme, excellent high-frequency reproduction, and overall high-fidelity. TAED Amplifier and Neodymium Woofer Incredibly lightweight, the RCF ART 322-A uses a high-efficiency True Active Extended Dynamic (TAED) amplifier. Quite frankly, it cranks out the most output we've ever heard from 12" active speaker system. The result of nearly ten years at the forefront of active speaker design and manufacture, RCF's True Active Extended Dynamic amplifier technology provides the perfect match of amplifier to transducer. The goal of TAED amplification is to increase the effective dynamic range of the loudspeaker system, which provides improved sonic accuracy, vocal clarity, and increased depth and resolution of the audio signals. RCF is able to achieve this because quite simply, they design and manufacture ALL of the ingredients. RCF's new generation of active amplifier modules are designed with a new Double Wave Limiting System that along with providing improved transducer protection, guarantees the full use of the true dynamic range of the power amplifier. This in turn dramatically reduces distortion levels as well. The result is a powerful, reference-quality sound for your live gigs. Mic/Line Input with Master Volume Control The input section features an XLR input connector that is switchable from microphone to line levels. A master volume control and a handy XLR signal output allows extra versatility. The processor section includes an active crossover, system equalization, transducer phase-alignment, limiter, and protection functions. The system is visually monitored via 4 status LEDs. The ART-322-A also offers an optional infrared remote control lets you adjust volume, EQ, and mute the system from anywhere in the room.
