Customer Reviewsfrom Az May 10, 2013Music Background: Semi-Pro Vocalist Perfect for meI am a vocalist and using this for lyrics that I have cut down a bit to fit correctly. I didn't want a big stand blocking the view so this one is perfect. I have 10 or 20 sheets attached with small clamps at any given time. It attached easily and securely and also swivels up and down. As others have said, no this is not for a tablet or anything like that but perfect for papers.from Morris, MN U.S.A. March 28, 2012Music Background: semi-pro guitar and french horn player/instructor Functional but flimsyFirst, the pictures do NOT match the product. The picture shows it as being slightly wider than it is tall (like a 4:3 or 3:2 aspect ratio). Anyhow, if you read the description carefully, it is accurate, both as to size and as to the units function. It is nicely sized to hold standard 8 1/2" x 11" paper in "portrait" orientation. I was hoping it could also hold a small mixer, drum machine, tablet computer, etc. but the clamp mechanism is too flimsy for anything much over 1 kg. It is good, however, for parking your harmonica, smart-phone, egg shaker, etc., as well as removing the extra clutter of a separate music stand (if you're only reading single pages, that is).from Chico, CA February 18, 2012Music Background: performing guitarist and singer Fine for paper, not for iPadFirst thing to note is that the bottom "lip" is along the short measurement, making this a portrait orientation music stand, unlike the typical landscape orientation of most music stands. The wing nut requires a lot of torque to tighten well enough to hold the stand in place; I had to use pliers. This stand is not sturdy enough to hold an iPad--it lists to one side under the load. That said, the quality is fine, and the price is right. |
