Any of the engineers here at Sweetwater would agree that monitor system management is extremely helpful in a 2.1 system - and pretty much imperative if you're running surround. An 8-channel DSP-based system, The Blue Sky Audio Management Controller (AMC) builds on the company's acclaimed Bass Management Controller, and adds many new capabilities. The AMC gives you precise, centralized control over your levels, balance, muting, house curves, and many other system configuration settings. The AMC is fitted with a a nicely weighted, "old-school" rotary control for primary adjustments. Additional hardware controls are handled by lighted buttons and a large display screen - all very easy to see in a darkened control room.
Comprensive monitoing control for up to 7.1The Blue Sky AMC is an 8-channel system that supports configurations up to 7.1. You can route any input to any output; multiple inputs can be summed and routed to any outputs. Each channel gives you 1/3-octave EQ, eight bands of parametric EQ and filters, and variable delay for time alignment. Other features include eight system presets (EQ curves, etc.), lip-sync delay, 7.1 bass management with variable cutoff frequency per channel, and an externally accessible mute input. The Bass channel sports a 10-band parametric equalizer. The digital inputs have built-in sample rate conversion, which you can bypass in Pure-Digital mode for 48kHz/96kHz operation. The digital I/O is AES/EBU 110-ohm balanced transformer coupled. Analog I/O is balanced, and nominal input levels are selectable between +4dBu and -6dBu.
