Clean and Distortion are awesome

Swapped my Emg 81/85 out for these. I'm not hating on Emg at all because I love them but all positions on my guitar and amp these in my opinion are better than the Emg's , The clean is clear as a bell, gain has a growl but still very clear. I think these have the upper hand on Emg.

Sweet and smooth

This is my favorite pickup. I have tried many pickups and like active pickups.

Worth the waiting.

I have the Squier Contemporary Jazzmaster which I wanted to use as a mod platform for a metalcore workhorse. The pickups in the Squier were good in terms of high gain riffs, it was the clean tones I had a problem with. The pickups were so high output, the cleans sounded like they were a little overdriven. The Blackouts arrived no problem, I just had to wait a long time to get them to the guitar shop to get them installed. After that the tone was absolutely rejuvenated. The cleans were 100% fixed, and the dirty tones were multiplied by 100% in the best way possible. Can"t recommend these enough!
