dbx AFS 224 ReviewsSweetwater Advice

Got Stage Monitors? Got feedback? The dbx AFS 224 will work on two separate monitor mixes, and will remove feedback without destroying the character of your voice. Take the cringe-causing, earsplitting feedback out of your mix the dbx way!
Customer Reviewsfrom Boyne City, MI February 23, 2009 Music Background: Gigging musician Worth every pennyThis thing works great. I play in an eight-member rock band (aux. percussion, three guitars, four vocals--just a monster). Monitors need to be high for everyone to hear themselves, and feedback was an issue. I play bass and sing, and can't constantly tweak settings during a gig. This solved the problem perfectly. The monitors are much louder, and NO FEEDBACK. A note: you can hook this up several ways. I first tried it in line to the monitors (before the signal was amped); this worked all right, but we would have some feedback sometimes. Now, I have one lead mic running through one channel, and another lead mic running through the other channel. While this means that some mics are unprotected, they generally aren't as loud (guitar-amp mics, bvox mics), so they don't produce the feedback. Allowing each channel of the AFS 224 to just work on one mic made us completely feedback-free. |
