Great Guitar, Great Value! The Ibanez AFJ85 rocks! The tone of this guitar is warm and bright. I've tried it on 3 different amps (solid state and tube) and each time the guitar sounded very clean with a lot of clarity in the notes. The stock D'addario Jazz Lite flat wound strings are smooth and sound great, will definitely be keeping with this brand for this guitar. Everything was set up the way I like it straight out of the box. This is a versatile guitar for any style. I play punk, rockabilly, jazz, and worship music. Whether you like to play dirty or clean, if you're looking for a quality hollow body at an inexpensive price then this guitar is for you.

Wowie-ZowieI wrote a previous review for the Ibanez AFJ- 85. There is an error; I play right-handed. Still, you can hardly go wrong with this axe, righty or lefty.
It's a beauty!

Playing the guitar again after 25 years. It's just a hobby.
Ibanez Artcore AFJ85I was originally looking at the Ibanez AS53, AS73, AM73, and AF75, but when I saw the AFJ85 was on sale, I couldn't pass it up. Its style was exactly what I was looking for.
The fit and finish are okay. I would have given it a higher rating if the fret ends had been finished better, because they were a little rough. Setup on the guitar was good. Realize that you'll have to loosen the strings to get the foam out from under the bridge, but, if you do it carefully, intonation should be okay.
The AFJ85 sounds good too in spite of the ceramic pickups. I went direct-in to my mixer to avoid coloration from my amp and I don't think you can find anything better in this price range.
It's a great looking guitar that plays easily with good sound. I can't complain about it, especially at this price point!
