What you need, without the footprint! Cakewalk's A-500S gives you just the MIDI control you need — and it's sized to fit nicely on your desktop or as a part of your on-the-go mobile rig. The sleek, streamlined design features 49 velocity-sensitive keys plus a sure grip Pitch Bend/Modulation Lever for getting expressive with your sound. For convenience, the Cakewalk A-500S has all of its connections on the side panel, so they're easy to access onstage or in the studio — there's the USB connector, jacks for sustain and expression pedals (available separately), and a MIDI out port. Need total on-the-go performance? You can even power your A-500S with AA batteries!

If you don't need the freedom of battery power (great to have!), you have two other ways of powering your A-500S. Just plug it into your Mac or PC via USB and you can power it that way. Or use an optional AC adapter and give it juice straight from the wall. Whatever you do, you'll be glad you have so many power options when it comes time to hit the stage or reconfigure your studio setup.

More than power convenience, the A-500S comes with instruments and software to kick-start your creativity. You get three virtual instruments for crafting synth-style tones and building huge-sounding drum parts. Ready to record them?
