Reviewsbased on 3 reviewsReally great AD. Sweet sounding and transparent too.

The AD on this is incredible. The clock is pretty bad though, the LynxAES16 with syncrolock seems to fix it up nicely. Noticeable difference. With a good clock this thing is probably one of the bes... read more [+]t AD's you can get. The DA is decent, a little noisier than the Benchmark DAC1 ... which really is good, because the Benchmark has about ZERO noise. The AD on this thing is worth the price alone.October 20, 2010 Music Background: A long time. Best 8-Ch AD under $5k. Amazing tone. Smeary clock. Workhorse DA. Best factory connectabilty available. It's truly plug and play and it sounds AMAZING with a decent external clock. Thinking about getting an older Mytek for my main AD, and using this as an outboard stemming patchbay for bus processing... just because it's AD and DA in one box and has a really sweet sound. close [-] This converter is worth it

Now I tend to use the Aurora for drums, bass, and the occasional male vocal and the Lucid for acoustic guitars, most vocals, and drum overheads. It makes a good companion to the Lynx. close [-]
