With the world of recording increasingly dominated by the use of MDM’s, the 801 is the perfect front end for your DA-88 or ADAT. Its reliability and quality make it an excellent preamp for direct-to-tape recording, and its superior performance qualifies the Model 801 for a place in any world-class recording studio. Each gain control has 24 positions and adjusts the voltage gain from 18dB to 64dB in 2dB steps. For reference, the 9 o'clock position is 30dB, the 12 o'clock position is 42dB, and the 3 o'clock position is 56dB. The 801 is your gateway to a whole new world of sonic realism!
