Elementary Music Pak # 1 Hybrid 8 PackThis package represents some of Electronic Courseware Systems most established programs for early musician development. It includes: Early Music Skills: This is a tutorial and drill program designed for early childhood development as well as young beginning musicians. The program covers four basic music reading skills: recognition of line and space notes; comprehension of the numbering system for the musical staff; visual and aural identification of notes moving up and down; and recognition of notes stepping and skipping up and down. KIDS: Getting Ready to Play is a four disk series for the very young. Zoo Puppet Theater reinforces learning correct finger numbers for piano playing; Race Car Keys teaches keyboard geography by recognizing solfege syllables or note names; Dinosaurs Lunch teaches placement of the notes on the treble staff; and Follow Me asks the student to play notes that have been presented aurally. Adventrues in Musicland: This unique set of music games features characters from Lewis Carrollís Alice in Wonderland. Players learn through pictures, sounds and animation which help develop understanding of musical tones, composers, and musical symbols.Games include Music Match, Melody Mixup, Picture Perfect, and Sound Concentration. Clef Notes: Clef Notes is designed to improve the speed with which a student can identify music notes as they are placed on the staff, using treble, alto, tenor, and bass clefs. Correct answers are selected on a graphics display, using a moveable cursor. Ten notes must be identified; consecutively to complete a session. Tap-It: This is a rhythm skills program teaching the concepts of beat and tempo through the presentation of rhythms and tapping drills where you respond after either listening or reading rhythm patterns. A non-stop quiz at the end of each level drills rhythm accuracy. The lesson has three skill levels with an option for a Final Quiz using the rhythms from level three. Musicus: Musicus is a game designed to help gain a better perspective of the relative length of notes (whole, half, quarter, and eighth notes) and combinations of tied notes of equal value (e.g. two tied quarters, etc.) and how these note values relate to musical meter. Maneuver the falling note blocks into position in measures of specific meters. the note blocks will fit across measure lines ONLY if they include a tie. If an incorrect note value is directed across a measure line it will appear again at the top of the screen. Points are awarded on the number of lines completed (all measures in one line filled) and from the type of notes the measures are filled with in a completed line-high point values for longer note values. Total points are based on the number of lines completed during the allotted time plus the total point value of the notes in completed lines. Time limits range from 210 seconds (beginner) to 90 seconds (very fast-super challenge), and score will be multiplied more for faster speeds. |
