The Legendary ’65 Super Reverb

The Fender Super Reverb is a meticulous reissue of a true American classic. Whether your guitar has humbucking or single-coil pickups, this iconic 45-watt, all-tube combo guitar amp serves up definitive Fender Blackface cleans that are perfect for rock, country, blues, jazz, fusion, and more. And it takes pedals splendidly!

Rocking 45 watts, the Fender ’65 Super Reverb is loud. It packs the perfect power range for small-to-midsized venues, making it easy to push its two 6L6 Groove Tube output tubes into sweet, vintage overdrive and go toe-to-toe with most drummers onstage. But this amp speaks with authority at any volume — beautifully chimey, glassy, and full-throated. Sonically, the Fender Super Reverb reissue is based on Fender’s classic 1965 Blackface circuitry, and it delivers the legendary sound you’ve heard on countless hit records.

Legendary tube tone, optimized for the modern player

Plug into the Fender Super Reverb combo guitar amp and you’ll experience legendary tube tone with an unmistakable vintage vibe. Fender manufactured the Blackface Super Reverb amp from 1963 to ’68. From its venerable 45-watt dual-6L6 circuit to its luscious spring reverb and pulsating tremolo, Jensen speakers, and tilt-back legs, the Fender Super Reverb reissue is every inch a classic, a veritable cornerstone of modern American music.

Fall in love with your pedals again

With two Groove Tube 6L6 output tubes in the engine room, the Fender Super Reverb supplies copious clean headroom, delivering a hefty 45 watts into two ohms. Guitarists at Sweetwater love the way the Super takes guitar pedals. Indeed, the Super is considered by many to be the ultimate pedal platform. With the Fender Super Reverb reissue, you can use your pedalboard to sculpt your tone — precisely, predictably, and at any volume — onstage and in the studio. Onstage, the Super’s tilt-back legs aim the amp’s sound up and off the floor and out to the audience while effectively functioning as a monitor wedge for you.

The perfect power range for smaller venues

The Fender Super Reverb has earned its reputation through the decades as being one of the hardest working amps in show business. From its introduction in 1963, it has appeared on countless iconic recordings. It has an ideal power range for smaller venues. At 45 watts, the Super’s output tubes can be pushed into overdrive easier than high-powered amps. If you’re after searing metal tone that will strip the paint off club walls, the Fender Super Reverb won’t fit the bill. But if you’re looking for an amp that will fill a small-to-midsized room with classic Fender Blackface tone — one that happens to be an excellent pedal platform to boot, the ’65 Super Reverb is the ticket.

It weighs a ton and it sounds like it.

Yep

Of course legendary amp, but just so freakin loud. I had an attenuator I was using it with for a bit, but didn't like the tone suck. I really can't crank it up and don't use it much in my home studio cause again it's ridiculously loud. May sell it and downgrade to a Custom Deluxe Reverb or Princeton so I can actually turn the thing up past 2 1/2.

Awesome sound but Very loud!!!

If you want that awesome clean sound that fender has to offer then look no further than this beast. Keep in mind that if you want overdriven tones, you have to get the amp cooking which means a whole lot of volume

This is a magical AMP

If you have the room and size for it this is the best Fender amp and one of the best amps I've ever played through IMO (I've played a lot of them over the years, Handwired, boutique, etc). I've played the Princetons, Deluxes, etc. and where they all sound similar there is just something special/magical about this amp. You have to be able to turn it up though (I found the sweet spot to be around 4-5.5 and it's LOUD when you get it there). After volume at 4.5 it doesn't really get any louder it just starts breaking up/opening up more. If you can open it up and play LOUD you won't regret getting this amp and it's second to none IMO. But as I said it's LOUD!

True vintage inspired reissue

I've owned a real '65 Super Reverb...and this is a spot on recreation. No frills, no unwanted modern features, just a true rendition of an American classic. It does those great sparkling cleans, crispy blues grit, and full on wool...Worth every penny.
